EXTRUSION BILLETS


1.   Product

       These specifications describe the standard characteristics of the round extrusion billets
       in the aluminium alloy series 1xxx, 3xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx.
 

2.   Chemical composition
      
Each charge is alloyed according to the order specifications of the customer.
       A certificate according to EN 10204 3.1B is delivered with each charge.
       Analysis is performed with the automatic Spectrolab Robotic ME optical
       emission spectrometer.

       The laboratory is RvA accredited according to EN 17025 (Sterlab).

3.   Charge
     
Minimum net charge size: 20 tonnes. Maximum gross charge size: 30 tonnes.

  • Homogeneous chemical composition
  • H2 -content < 0,20 ml/ 100 gr Al (Alscan method). Typical value 0,18 ml/100 gr. AL
  • Homogeneous grain structure (min. 20 K/mm2)
  • Free of inclusions, cold shuts larger than 1mm and mechanical damage larger than 3 mm. 

 6.   Marking
       A stamp on the saw cut of all billets stating:

      Each bundle has a Barcode-label stating:

  • DELFZIJL
  • Casting number
  • Bundle number
  • Customer alloy code
  • Dimensions
  • Net weight

 7.    Packaging

  • The billets are packed according to customer specification.
  • The Billets are packed on wooden spacers with 3 to 7 steel or plastic straps
